About

I’m a wanna-be writer that nearly flunked out of college writing my first year in college – that was a long time ago. Long story short, about five years ago I got the writing bug and have been reading How-To’s and practicing becoming a good or, at least, a decent writer. One thing I’ve been doing for the last couple of years to force myself to write something, anything, everyday, is to post to the blogs of others. A couple of weeks ago, inspired by my daughter’s efforts to get her own blog going, I got the bright(?) idea to keep a blog that was essentially an archive of my posts to the blogs of others – And that’s the beginnings of what you see here.

It should be duly noted that, included with my posts are the original blog abstracts, complete with links working or not, back to the original sites that inspired the posts that you will find here. I am doing so without persmission, and also am:

  • Providing links back to the original site, (working or not),
  • Endeavoring to give full and proper credit,
  • Trying to inspire further, and perhaps more focused commentary,
  • Just trying to keep an easy log of my posts that I and everyone else can refer back to.

Most of this stuff is going to be techno-centric with a strong bias in favor of Apple products, (most of the time), and in favor of getting Microsoft [the company] to conform to already established, truely universal standards. Things that are not directly to do with personal computing are posted in the Personal Electronics section.

And finally, the format (such as it is), is basically that you will see my post first, followed by, “IN RESPONSE TO:”, then the original article complete with links back to the original URL so you can see it for yourself. Sometimes I am responding to the response’s of others about a particular blog article in which case you will see my post followed by “IN RESPONSE TO:”, followed by the post I’m responding to, which will in turn be followed by the original article. It’s not really as confusing as it sounds – give it a try and tell me how I can do it better.

Cheers!
